Cookie dough overnight oats

Everyone likes cookie dough right? My cookie dough over night oats cheats the system a little. Maximum flavour, seriously fit food!

Now in this recipe, I’ve used low fat products and kept to portions small for me of course. However, that’s not to say they aren’t suitable for people with bigger energy needs. Body builders and in season marathon runners I’m looking at you! It’s that time of year isn’t it? Lots of long marathon races taking place in winter.

If you need a bigger energy kick, here’s what you do: change to full cream diary, make the portions bigger, instead of 4 serves, make it 2 serves instead. For the body builders you may want to add whey protein to the mix and extra yogurt.

After doing those modifications you’re good to go! I use this recipe for breakfast, but it’s also great anytime of day. Enjoy, eat up and good morning to you!

 

Ingredients – Serves 4

1 cup rolled oats

1 tsp vanilla essence

40g pistachio

50g sliced almond

¼ cup low fat vanilla yogurt

1 cup skim milk

1 tbsp maple syrup

2 tbsp chocolate drops

Method

  1. Put everything in a bowl (minus the chocolate) and mix.
  2. Divide the mix into 4 cups or bowls, place in the fridge.
  3. Serve cold the following day and sprinkle with chocolate.
